At first it seemed like that was the journey it would take, but no so much now...would be interested to see the overall stats of the rates where people keep on track or falter on the challenge, as I'm sure that would be largely to the process it is following! Not only are some of the tasks deep, but they are jumping around topically. This may be just fine for this type of challenge where people have varied interests. For a learning experience, I think I would group the topics. So, make the first week all related to comments, the second week all related to the design of the site, etc. Of course, this could all be the traditional (old-style) instructional designer in me who wants to apply something familiar in this wild west of Web 2.0! I'm feeling like it's worth it and that it has energized my blogging, but at the same time--WOW it's a lot! I'm still mulling over the idea that the challenge process itself of having an activity every day that you're doing and then blogging on is a good one for a range of learning experiences, but I'm wondering about the length of time for it. Or maybe it's the depth of the activities--some of the 31 Days activities, like analyzing 10 "competitor sites" are a lot. Anyway, I think there's potential there.
