		<description>Christine, Thanks not only for an entertaining story, but one that introduces some fascinating terminology and information about brain functions and our tendency to react according to our innate and usually unconscious biases. I looked for my own biases in Wade Meredith&#039;s article and, sad to say, recognized some in how I form my opinions. I think my &quot;faves&quot; are selective perception and confirmation bias.

We can all improve our performance and relationships in both our personal and professional lives by being aware of how the principles of homophily and bias affect our everyday actions. Thanks again for helping us become more aware of them - and in such an amusing and vivid way!!</description>
