New VisualsSpeak Website

posted in About VisualsSpeak |

We have updated the content on our website

In an attempt to serve you better, we have changed the content on the VisualsSpeak site to give you a clearer idea of what we do and the products that we offer.

We are experimenting with the site by using a WordPress blog template. This allows us to change and update the content quickly and easily, and with little expense.

Our plan is to test the new content by listening to your feedback about what works and what doesn’t. When we feel that we have arrived at the right content, we will fork over the money to have our regular website template updated.

We need your feedback!

Please let us know what you think about the new content. You can let us know here on this blog or make comments on the VisualsSpeak website itself at the bottom of the pages.

Thanks

Christine & Tom

Nice fresh bright theme, looking good. Only one little point for increased usability your colour contrasts on the navigation bar when hovering over and the drop down menu, could be hard to read by some people. Maybe change the font colour on hover to a dark grey?

    Well done though!

The new site looks great! It’s much clearer what you do and the benefits are obvious. Great job!

    Hi Laura

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I agree with you that there needs to be more contrast in the drop-down menus. I have a hard time reading it too. Yikes what does that say?

Unfortunately changing the color scheme means going into the code and Christine has forbade me from touching anything resembling code. I’m the kind of guy who loves to push buttons, even if I don’t have the slightest idea what they do. Now, if you need a room torn apart or something like that I’m your man. If you need the thing put back together so it works than sorry, that’s not my department.

Christine will be presenting at another conference in a few days, so this fix most likely won’t get done for another week or two.

    Thanks Tom

Do you really think so? You mean we are actually getting closer to explaining in a clear way what we do and the great benefits people are receiving from using our tools? Its true. Miracles really do happen.

Thanks for the feedback. If you think of anything else, let us know.

Just the thought of Tom doing his button pushing thing motivated me to find a few moments to at least do a quick fix. When I get back from the next trip I need to spend some time looking at the site for accessibility. I always appreciate your reminders Laura!
